朝起きるとSからメールが。

sigh, i get up today, only to find that someone went to a school and shot and killed 20 very young children in a school, and 6 teachers. he also shot his mother in the face before he went to school and his girlfriend, and his best friend is missing.

いそいでニュースみたら、ほんとだ、また乱射だ・・・

気を取り直して日本語のレッスン。。。

今日は形容詞”ほしい”を教えてました。これって英語じゃ動詞wantなんで説明するのが難しかったです。形容詞の変化も説明するのに一苦労。

さて現在The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacksを読書中。これはドキュメンタリーなのですが、読む前ちょっとびくびくしてました。いったい多読王国の難しさを表すYLという数値を誰がどうやってたたき出しているのかわからないのですが、YL8.0。

ところが読んでみると、とっても面白い。いま1/3を通過したところですが、夢中になってます。

うーん、今年読んだ本のなかで一番難しかったのはやっぱり”The Help”だったなぁ。。
