Yesterday, an article describing women who are suffering from not being able to have babies reminded me of a test.

Anti-Mullerian Hormone Test, whose existence is getting famous these days, is the one to evaluate the number of primordial follicles left in women's bodies.

Needless to say, to get pregnant, we need ovums, which are what primordial follicles grow into. Hence, if the result of this test is unfavorable, meaning low, it indicates there are few primordial follicles left in our ovaries, to put it briefly, we're going to meetENTER or START or BEGIN menopause in the relatively near future.

I took this test last year to evaluate my ability to get pregnant. It's done through only a blood sample and it costs around 8,000yen in Japan, since it's not covered by health insurance.Fortunately, my result was appropriate for my age, which made me so relieved.　

These days more and more women are suffering from their infertility, and sadly, sometimes they come to notice their sterility when they reach their late 30's or early 40's. In these cases, it tends to be too late. Thus I want to make this test more popular, as one of the most basic, important examinations to measure one's fertility. In that case, many women might no longer need to worry about themselves.
