The Help

Finally, I finished reading "the HELP". In the beginning, this book was nothing but boring.

There were many words I didn't know, its command of the language was difficult, and at first, the speedof story's progress was very slow. What's more, mostly it was written with a characteristic black's accent in that era, which made it tougher.

I almost gave it up in the middle, but I didn't.

I almost gave it up halfway through, but I didn't. <--- more native.

What made me continue reading was 2 factors.

The one was a great number of good book reviews. Looking through Amazon Japan , a lot of people left good comments on this book. Hence, I was really curious about the story. I really wanted to know the end.

THe other was my unyielding spirit. Everytime I was about to throw in the towel, I asked myself, how come I couldn't finish it while others could do?

Giving up here meant I admitted my reading skill was lower than

others who were able to finish it. I didn't like to be a loser.

Anyhow, accomplishingfinishing this book made me a bit confident.
