エクスチェンジパートナーが激怒！
日曜日、海BBQから帰ってきたらパートナーSからメールが入ってました。
なんでもヤフーニュースに日本に関する記事があったそうなんですが、そこのコメント欄に激しく日本を批判するコメントがあったらしく、日本LOVEの彼は激怒しすぎて、疲れて、もう寝る。。。というメールでした。
翌日速攻、どんなコメントだったのか聞いてみました。なるほど、確かにこのコメント書いた人は日本大嫌いっぽいです。
コメント見ながらSと検証。

Anybody who actually takes the time to educate themselves, or has spent time in Japan, knows that;
1) The Japanese are among the most racist people on the planet. They were in the 1930s and they still are today. Their inherent racism is rather open and part of their operating government.
⇒これには私は同意。今でも特に、中国人、韓国人への差別はあるし、日本人同士の差別も残ってるし、正直、私もたぶん差別してるところがある。。ちなみにSは私とは違って全く差別をしない人です。
2) Unlike Germany, they never had to pay a dime in reparations (you can blame MacArthur for that, it was his idea.
⇒これは私はよく知らなかったのですが。
第二次世界大戦中、ドイツはヨーロッパ中の建造物を壊しまくり、大戦後、償わさせられました。が、日本はマッカーサー元帥のおかげで？それをしなくて済んだのです。
3) While the Germans committed mass atrocities in Europe...they had nothing on the Japanese. What the Japanese did to the Chinese, Burmese, Koreans, Filipinos and POWs took horrific to a whole new level.
⇒これは日本人がやったことはナチスがやったこと以上にひどかったという意味。ちなみにPOWSとはprison of war,捕虜のことです。
4) Unlike the attitude of many Germans who were happy the war was over and many of whom secretly despised Nazi rule....the Japanese were quite supportive of their war efforts and were in genuine shock, depression and disbelief when they learned of their country's surrender
⇒これに関しては本当だよ、S。ドイツ国民はナチスに辟易してたのかもだけど、日本国民の多くは戦争を正当化というか、心底応援してたもんね~
5) Even today, many Japanese History books refer to WWII as "The War of American Imperial Aggression" and they begin WWII with Jimmy Doolittle's raid over Tokyo, and then cite the attack on Pearl Harbor as happening AFTERWARDS.
⇒え、これって本当？確か私は教科書でWW2は日本のパールハーバー先制攻撃からはじまったって習ったけどなぁ。なんでもこれを書いた人は”日本人の歴史bookにはJimmy Doolittleが東京を襲ったから、パールハーバー攻撃をしかけた、と書かれている”と言いたいらしい。。これはwrong・・
6) When elderly POWS attempted to bring suit in the 1990s against Japanese companies such as Mitsubishi & Nissan for the slave labor they enjoyed during WWII, the Japanese government sent lobbyists to fight against their efforts....AND WON....thanks in part to then-President Bill Clinton.
⇒これもよく知らなかったこと。アメリカ人捕虜が三菱や日産などで強制労働させられたそうで、その捕虜たちが後日、日本を訴えようとしたらビルクリントンのおかげで？ぽしゃったという話です。しらなんだ。
7) When the Japanese invaded Attu and Kiska, entire Native American villages were forcibly removed as slaves to Japan and were never seen again. Those that weren't taken were forced to sit in their homes until a Japanese soldier was sent in to execute them all. Usually the elderly, young children and infants.
⇒うむーーこれに関してはすんません、ですね。確かに酷いことをしたんだと。。
F the Japanese. And F MacArthur for letting them off the hook for all that they did. We should have taken their da**ed island away from them and made it into a US territory.
ちなみにFは言うまでもなく、FUCKの意味。da**edはdamned。
コメントを見ても何にも感じない私と怒りまくっているSであーだこーだとディスカッション。ちなみにこのコメントを書いた人はかなり年とったアメリカ人のおじい様だと思います。実際日本で働いていたそうです。

とにかく彼は怒り爆発、そして怒り過ぎて疲れてました。あ、このコメント書いた人に言いかえしてました。英語で濃い~話ができてとても楽しかったです（Sには悪いけどｗ）
